Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Other Must-See MTV Video Music Awards Performances
Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem are just a few of the MTV Video Music Awards performers you must see.
There’s always a lot going on at the MTV Video Music Awards, and the performances are always great. The 41st year of the famous award show didn’t have as many stars as previous years, but it still had a lot of performances we’ll be talking about for months, or at least tomorrow at work.

Jack Harlow starts the show with a surprise guest, Fergie
Since his first hit single with Lil Nas X came out last summer, there’s no doubt that Jack Harlow has been the talk of the town. Tonight, he started the show dressed as a flight attendant on a fake plane with celebrities like Avril Lavigne and Jimmy Fallon. He then walked out onto the ceremony stage to reveal Fergie, whose 2007 song “Glamorous” he heavily samples on “First Class.”
Lizzo sings her new single, “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready),” live.
Everyone thought Lizzo would sing her viral hit “About Damn Time,” which she did. However, she spent most of her time talking about her new single “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready).”
The Global Icon Award went to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Foo Fighters got the first Global Icon Award last year. The Red Hot Chili Peppers got the second one and played two of their biggest hits, “Black Summer” and “Can’t Stop.”
“Fingers Crossed” is a book by Lauren Spencer Smith
After all the glitz and glam, “Fingers Crossed’s” simple, stripped-down performance was just what we needed.
Anitta Sings “Envolver”
Anitta won the Best Latin Award for her song “Envolver,” and her sultry performance showed why she’s so popular in the US this year.
NFTs are Eminem and Snoop Dogg
Even though this performance might have been more exciting if the real performers had done it instead of their NFTs, you can never have too many Snoop and Eminem shows. Even though it wasn’t nearly as exciting as their Dr. Dre Superbowl collaboration, we love the creativity.
Nicki Minaj’s medley of songs for the Video Vanguard Award steals the show.
Nicki Minaj won the Video Vanguard Award, which she deserved very much. To celebrate, she did a medley of all the songs that show why she deserves the award so much. We could have watched the 10-minute show for twice as long and still loved it.
