Azuki unveils its next NFT ecosystem expansion the Elementals collection
On Friday, a portion of the unrevealed 20,000-edition NFT collection was airdropped to holders.
The popular non-fungible token (NFT) collection Azuki is unveiling a new collection inspired by the Azuki ecosystem’s elements.
Azuki Elementals will include 20,000 NFTs based on the four Azuki elements of earth, fire, electricity, and water, according to a press release. The collection features varying degrees of rarity characteristics, which will be unveiled upon minting.
The sale, which commences on Tuesday as a Dutch auction, will begin at 2 ETH (approximately $3,800) and will initially be accessible to holders of Azuki NFTs or BEANZ – an additional Azuki derivative collection. The price will decrease by 0.1 ETH, or $187, every five minutes until all 10,000 remaining Elementals NFTs are sold.
A portion of the new collection’s NFTs were airdropped to existing Azuki holders on Friday during a Las Vegas event dubbed “Follow the Rabbit.”
According to a tweet from Azuki holder and event attendee Charlie G., Azuki holders received an unrevealed Azuki Elemental NFT and a soulbound memento to commemorate the event.
Charlie remarked, “The trailer that debuted in Las Vegas was of a caliber that had never been seen in this space before.” “Azuki’s ability to capture the attention of an entire space exceeds what we typically see with NFT projects.”
At the time of writing, OpenSea data indicates that Azuki’s floor price is 15.3 ETH, or approximately $29,000. The project’s trading volume is 569,795 ETH, or slightly more than $1 billion. BEANZ has a floor price of 1.28 ETH, or $2,400, and a trading volume of approximately $300 million.
In October, the initiative auctioned off eight golden skateboards that were connected to “physically backed tokens,” generating $2.5 million in sales volume.
